Recipes from different parts of our country
Cooking is my passion. Even if there is nothing to cook at home, old Czech cuisine always offers me inspiration. Discover with me the magic of traditional recipes and simple cooking from available ingredients.
When I started cooking seven years ago, I had almost no experience with cooking and baking. That's why I started cooking only simple recipes, such as baked meatballs, ćevapčići, tomato sauce with meatloaf, fried schnitzels, cauliflower for schnitzel, potato goulash, ratatouille, chicken with vegetables and paprika, potato pancake. From baked desserts, I was able to bake only a sponge cake, a lamb and a simple cake, consisting of sponge dough, cut through with a layer of jam, the whole cake was covered with chocolate, decorated with lentils and walnuts.
I really adore buns and cakes. Unfortunately, my previous efforts to bake at least a fruit cake have been catastrophic (the dough was undercooked or curdled), whether I baked with baking powder or yeast.
A huge breakthrough came three years ago, when I started studying old Czech recipes for various cakes and gingerbread. I literally did nothing but bake or read recipes. I have always tried to study each recipe as much as possible. That's when I discovered the magic of how to handle yeast, baking powder or baking soda.
It is said that study and learning are never finished. One is constantly learning something new. The same applies to cooking and baking. I am also still learning and finding new and unknown recipes that I do not know yet and would like to try (e.g. rolls and cakes).
The best are various cakes, donuts, buns, there is a plethora of them and there are various regional variants for them. But they are demanding in terms of time and preparation, but the result, when you bite into the finished product, the feeling is absolutely fabulous, unforgettable. For an unknown recipe, I always start with half the amount. Whereas with proven recipes, it is good to bake from large batches so that the production is worth it and, most importantly, the food lasts a long time. I have three robbers at home who eat like crazy.
Lately, I've found it a shame that apart from my loved ones, no one can see what amazing successes I've achieved in cooking and baking. I decided to post photos of all the dishes I cook and bake on Instagram. Here on the website, I would like to start writing my blog with recipes I cook and bake in my everyday life, as well as various advice and tips on how to deal with when you run out of ingredients at home or when you don't have time to shop. Whereas on Facebook and Youtube I have my other work, what I do when I don't have to be in the kitchen.
I studied applied painting in high school. I recently completed my education thanks to retraining as a website coder and graphic studio worker. As a coder, I have knowledge of HTML5, I know CSS3 cascading styles. I know how to create templates and connect them to the WordPress content management system. I can create responsive websites. In graphics, I learned to work with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Figma.
